Saxophone Allison Neale (sax & flute)
Wednesday 27th January
£7.50

Born in Seattle, USA and raised in the UK, Allison began playing by ear at an early stage and soon fell under the spell of the Dave Brubeck Quartet's Paul Desmond. The alto-saxophonist Art Pepper also became a major influence but now Allison is very much "her own woman" leading her quartet and quintet.

Katy Lied
Supported by Vandeville Falls

Thursday 28th January
£10.00

The Katy Lied signature sound is roots and rock, slide and jangle and classic songwriting values. If you’re partial to roots-infused rock with high’n’mighty chorus hooks then you’re in for a treat with their second album, the recently released 'Echo Games'. New vocalist Katie Harnett adds a good deal of class to the proceedings, as do guest appearances by Thea Gilmore and the rightly-lauded pedal steel player Al Perkins. An uplifting record that’s perfect for humming and air-strumming along.
